beyond the race

I came to Spa-Francorchamps looking beyond the race itself.

What caught my attention was everything happening around it: the gestures, the concentration, the quiet moments, the people interacting with machines that leave little room for error.

Because performance is never purely mechanical, it is human, shaped by precision, repetition, pressure and passion. These images explore the connection between machines and people who give them purpose.

For a few days, I captured this relationship, on and off the track, looking at what happens before and after the machine moves.
